Our Foundation was the focus of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood’s blog on February 28th.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Deputy Administrator Bill Bronrott said, “I cannot thank you enough for your participation in the kickoff of FMCSA’s training academy for our next group of Safety Investigators.  As one trainee told me after your remarks, he will think of you every day he is on the job.  I look forward to our collaborations in the future for greater commercial vehicle safety.”

DOT Safety Investigator’s Conference

 The John Lindsay Foundation was represented recently at U.S. Dept. of Transportation’s Safety Investigator’s Conference in San Marcos, TX.  New DOT investgators from eleven states across the nation were in town for a 10-week training period. Wanda Lindsay, keynote speaker, addressed the group about the Foundation’s goals to educate the public on the dangers of sleep apnea in the commercial motor vehicle industry. Also in attendance were Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Deputy Administrator, William Bronrott, TX DPS Sgt. Virgil Verduzco and Mark Milligan, DOT’s Investigator for the Eastern Service Center.
